From the results of blood pressure measurements, as many as 12.98% were declared hypertension. Giving Dayak onion tea is a form of non-pharmacological treatment that can reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Objective: To determine the effect of giving Dayak onion tea on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Research Methods: This study uses an experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Postest Design research design. Sampling using total sampling technique with 14 respondents. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk and data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that the results for systolic blood pressure before and after treatment obtained a significant value of p (0.001) and for the results of diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment obtained a significant value of p (0.002). Wilcoxon test results, obtained pre test and post test has a significant value of 0.000 where p < 0.050. Conclusion: There is an effect of Dayak onion tea on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension
2024-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Eka Malinda Dewantari, Cemy Nur Fitria , Sri Handayani http://bookseries.ptti.web.id/index.php/hst/article/view/108 Arduino based Medicine Liquid Density Meter 2024-07-25T04:37:09+00:00 Prisma Megantoro megantoro.prisma@gmail.com Andrei Widjanarko widjanarkoandrei@gmail.com Robbi Rahim robbi@ieee.com Kunal Kunal Kunal.karn007@gmail.com Afif Zuhri Arfianto afifzuhri@ieee.org
A measure of the viscosity of a liquid drug formula needed to make drug syrup. A measuring instrument is needed to measure the viscosity. On the market, analog measuring instruments are used to measure the viscosity of the formula, which causes it to be less accurate and precise. Because of this problem, a digital density measuring instrument is needed. The limitations of digital density meters, especially liquids, urge the author to conduct further research on the digitalization of this measuring instrument. This research aims to create a digital density meter for liquid materials with a high level of measurement accuracy, as a reference measurement study for liquid density in digital form. This instrument is designed using the load cell method as the main sensor. The density meter is also equipped with a DS18B20 waterproof temperature sensor to measure liquid temperature. The data will be analyzed to obtain the accuracy and error of liquid density measurements from the density meter. The liquid samples used for research were Pertamax, sun and water. The sample accuracy and error measurement results are respectively 99.83 percent and 0.17 percent for Pertamax, 99.63 percent and 0.37 percent for diesel and 99.46 percent and 0.54 percent for water. The measured density value will then be displayed on the 16x2 LCD.
2024-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Prisma Megantoro, Andrei Widjanarko, Robbi Rahim, Kunal Kunal, Afif Zuhri Arfianto http://bookseries.ptti.web.id/index.php/hst/article/view/111 Portable Heart Rate-based Photoplethysmography and Decision Trees 2024-07-25T05:42:56+00:00 Iswanto Suwarno iswanto_te@umy.ac.id Abdul Latif abdul_l@gmail.com
Heart disease is caused by a cardiac function which does not work optimally. This illness can be detected by
sensing a pulse that is defined as the rhythm of the heartbeat. Some researchers have conducted a study to determine and monitor heart rate. Researches resulted in very expensive and not portable tools. Therefore, this paper examines portable heart rate monitoring with photoplethysmography method and decision tree algorithm. The photoplethysmography method is an optical technique that is cheap and simple that can be used to detect changes in blood volume in the microvascular network. The method modified on the transmitter and receiver sensors. The decision tree algorithm is used to make decisions for one's pulse form of digital data retrieval heart rate. With the decision tree algorithm obtained a normal heart, Bradycardia, and Tachycardia. The method and algorithm result in a much cheaper tool which can detect heart rate which later is categorized into the normal heart, Bradycardia, or Tachycardia.
2024-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Iswanto Suwarno, Abdul Latif http://bookseries.ptti.web.id/index.php/hst/article/view/109 Modification of Hand Dryer with Ultraviolet Light Based on ATMega8 2024-07-25T04:49:41+00:00 Tatiya Padang Tunggal tatiyapt@umy.ac.id Ahmad Wahyu Apriandi ahmadwahyuapriandi@umy.ac.id Joessianto Eko Poetro joessianto@ppns.ac.id Elsayed T.Helmy stalaat41@gmail.com Farhad Waseel farhadwaseel@ku.edu.af
In everyday life, particularly in hospitals, people typically use cloth or tissue to dry our hands. It seems less practical, effective and hygienic. In addition, some restaurants still use cloth or tissue as well. To overcome this problem, several hospitals and restaurants have provided hand dryer. It can dry hands but cannot eliminate germs or bacteria. It is necessary to create a hand dryer equipped with a sterilizer. This work, therefore, created a hand dryer that can simultaneously dry and sterilize hands that worked automatically using the ATMega8 microcontroller. The tool was designed by using an infrared sensor to detect hands, and an ATMEGA8 microcontroller to read and process the sensors to activate UV and heating. The results found that the tool equipped with UV and heating can dry hands while eliminating bacteria and germs.
2024-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Tatiya Padang Tunggal, Ahmad Wahyu Apriandi, Joessianto Eko Poetro, Elsayed T.Helmy, Farhad Waseel
